It’s student evaluation time again—and I should be the next-to-last professor in the humankind to complain. With slight exceptions for “caring too much” and courses that athletic competition “too early” ( a.m.), my evaluations are quite an good. A recent comprehensive study, for example, showed that professors get good evaluations by teaching to the test and being entertaining. And yet the student evaluations of teaching (SETs) I’ve standard during my decade-long teaching career Ostensibly, SETs give us valuable feedback on our teaching effectiveness, factor importantly into our procession trajectories, and provide accountability to the institution that employs us. pupil learning hardly factors in, because ( Indeed, some of the worst evaluations I always got were for hands-down the best teaching I’ve of all time done—which I measured by the revolutionary metric of “the students were way better at German walking out than they were walking in.” Alas, this took work, and some of the attempted to stage a mutiny on evaluation day.

The mascot is square school smell is a joke but its not bad. The buildings are nice for the most part and they are working to fix a lot around campus but it just looks old. Come here to preserve money on your basics or like me amazement around trying to decide your major taking cheaper classes. Advisors are pretty great though so kuddos to them! diminutive classes mean better relation with your teachers. It can be a high school at times, merely because a handful enter because they're not with the program.
